BAM ROBERTS

After gaining four years' experience managing tattoo studios, learning and understanding the industry, Bam wanted to take on a new role to become a tattoo artist. Specialising in blackwork, his goal is to deliver the cleanest and blackest tattoos.

Bam began his professional artistic journey in 2014 as studio manager at Raw Ink in his hometown of Wrexham, where he learned the ins and outs of running a tattoo studio. In 2016 he moved to Crown of Thorns in Chester as studio manager/assistant, where working alongside a team of inspiring artists deepened his appreciation for the craft. In 2018, Bam joined Bridge Street Tattoo to help launch the new studio with his friend and mentor Shaun Wainwright. It was here that he first picked up the machine, learned the skills of tattooing, and developed his craft as part of a growing and award winning studio.

 

In 2024, Bam reunited with former bandmate and friend Simon Mora to open THE OTHER SIDE, a blackwork-focused tattoo studio in the heart of Liverpool city centre. The goal was to create more than a studio: a space that encourages creativity, connection, and a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door.

Outside of tattooing, Bam has been in touring bands since 2005 where he has performed all over the UK and a handful of European countries. His current music project is VELMORE.
